hi, i would like to turn off the memorized searchs that i get when using
google, i.e. i'll type something in and a box will appear below the inquiry
bar telling me that i've searched it. its supposed to make things faster but
i like to type my searches out, if anyone can help it would be great, also
sorry about this not sounding proper, thanks.

If you mean the Google search box in the Google toolbar, there is a setting
in the toolbar options that selects whether or not to suggest searches from
your history.

If you mean the box on the Google homepage, the history there is being kept
by your browser (Internet Explorer?). You can clear this history, but I
don't know how to disable it.

thanks for the response, i'm talking about the box that appaers on the
homepage, not the toolbar. i'd like to know how to delete the history for
this i've tried clearing my internet history but it doesn't work any other
suggestions.

Control Panel > Internet Options :

Content tab > AutoComplete button > Uncheck the first two
checkbox and click "Clear Forms"

Advanced tab > Scroll down and click "Do not search from the address
bar".

I dont know which one affect the setting you want but one will turn that
off.
