searching repeated files

i need to make some order in my HD, and i have a lot of files that are
present in different directories (i mean, the same file is in many
directories).
is there a way to search for those repeated files, and if possible to
automatically erase the copies?

you can use norton system works duplicate file finder if you've got it,
otherwise you'll have to do a manual search for each file and delete them as
necessary.
