Can you find a file by seaching on the comment section?
I have been tasked with creating documetnation standards
for my group and it has been suggested for everyone to
fill out of the comment section in the properties. But I
can not determine if when you search it actually searches
on this field.
Any help would be appreciated!

Ward, short answer: Yes. But note that searching on the comments field is a
little more involved than a Find/Replace type search. It's a little closer
to an Access query. What you have to do is this:

File > Open
In the Open dialog box, Tools > Find.
In the find dialog box, under Define more criteria:
Property = "Comments"
Condition = "Includes words" (or "phrase")
Value = What you're looking for.
In the Find dialog box, under Look in, select where you want Word to search.
Include subfolders, if desired.
Click Find Now.

Word will display the results in the Open dialog box. One nice thing about
this is that you can save the search criteria.
