Actually, this is a complete sheet with day wise data of complaints I
want to know the greater complaints another cell for each day. I use
max to find the maximum number but how to find the complaint
description against that because vlookup only works for the left
side .

You use an INDEX/MATCH combination - MATCH finds the location (row) of
the maximum and you use that within INDEX to extract the category.

One oft-used solution is to sort the table, descending, on the second column. That puts the
highest complaints at the top, and works its way down.

Thanks but any one help what is the proceedure (syntax) about index/
match functions. could any one tell me the logic/back ground of these
functions.
