Searching for specific text in an OLE object

I am trying to create a database of Excel files which will be in access as
OLE fields. Is it possible to be able to search for specific text contained
in the excel files from within Access?

Hi Karl-

AFAIK, you can't search the content of an OLE field because that content is
stored as an Object, not as text or values. When you double-click the field
in a datasheet or form, the parent application will open to present the
object and you can use its' search features to find specific content.
