HOW DO YOU SEARCH FOR HIDDEN FILES USING WINDOWS 2000. I
COULD ONLY FIND INFORMATION FOR WINDOWS XP FOR THIS WHICH
DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE SAME OPTIONS AS WINDOWS 2000

Hi Mr. Moto,

If the hidden files are in directories indexed by the Indexing Service, try using the
following query in the "Containing text:" box in Windows Start > Search > For Files
and Folders utility:

@attrib^s 0x0002

Also, if you have not already done this, change your Explorer view settings to show
System and Hidden Files and folders. Control Panel > Folder Options > View [tab] >
"Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files
(Recommended).
