SearchCentrix has taken over my IE Browser

Anytime my IE browser (IE 6.0) is unable to open a
website, it defaults to a website called
Searchcentrix.com at the web address:
http://if.searchcentrix.com....
I have seen other posts on other tech websites with other
people having this problem. Need to know how to get rid
of this hijacking of my web browser.

First, scan the system for parasites and remove them. SpyBot S&D searches
your harddisk for Spyware and Adware

(Remember to perform a Webupdate to have the latest definitions installed)

This will remove malware from the PC
