Search Settings

Can anyone tell how to affect changes in the "search engines" and "search tools" that appear in IE when you press "Search" and then "Customize"

I'd attach a snap shot if I could (avoid those 1000 words). The Customize Search Settings as two radio buttons at top, One to use "Search Assistant" (many services possible) vs. Select a Single Search Service

In particular, how do you add Google? (email me, anyone and I'll send a picture. There must be a smarter way to configure this...

O

oops!!

Michael,

Download, install and run (FIX) Cool Web Shredder:

http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip
http://radiosplace.com/
http://computercops.biz/downloads-cat-14.html

You may need to fix your registry after that:

http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/RepairTabs.reg
1) Restores the missing Tabs in IE (usually spyware related)
2) Unlocks the grayed-out Home Page section
3) Removes the Administrator message in Internet Options

Michael,
Go to http://www.google.com/options/
Look for "Google tools" and "Additionally, you can Add Google to your
Browser "

The google toolbar is *very* popular.
