Search Results Popup Problems

I have Windows XP and for the past several days, whenever
I bring up a search engine and search for a topic, extra
links appear in the search results. Three links that
number 2-4 on my results page. These links have little
or nothing to do with what I am searching for. And it
doesn't matter what search engine I use, the extra links
always appear. And they seem to be the same links. Does
anyone know how I can fix this?

What are the links? Do the pages they take you to give you a clue as to what
might be causing them? (e.g. a possible third-party application or spyware
that you could remove from add/remove programs).
Also check your hard drive for spyware using a third-party spyware removal
application as well as scanning it for viruses using the latest signatures.
