search problems

when i type text in the address bar IE no longer searches
for that info I just get this reply in the address bar.
http:///? baseball and displays the page cannot be
displayed. I had Spyware but got rid of it . But I have
not been able to fix this problem.

I think you may still have spyware.

Run these tools in the following order with nothing else running in
background:

1. CWShredder (fix all found)

2. Ad-Aware (fix all found)

3. Spybot (RTFM but generally fix everything in red)

Also:

1. Download and run Stinger (http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/); then...

2. Update your virus definitions, enable Show Hidden Files

and then run a full system scan in Safe Mode

with nothing else running in background.
