Search on uploaded site doesn't find it

I finished a website in FP and uploaded it this morning, the web address is
www.heritagetrailcottage.com. If I type the address in the browser the
website comes up and it functions and looks fine. However, if I do a search
in google or yahoo and search for www.heritagetrailcottage.com it does not
come up. A accommodation directory that it is a member of comes up with this
website on it, but this website does not come up as itself. What can be wrong?

Perhaps it is just that Yahoo and Google have not yet indexed the site !

It can take weeks, months or even years before a search engine discovers and
indexes your site. Have you told Google, Yahoo etc your site exists?

Ronx, yes I have told Google but 'Suggest a Site' at Yahoo failed 4 times.
Then when I tried to submit it through 'submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request'
they wanted me to register and give them a credit card number and pay a $0.50
charge to register, I am not prepared to give them my credit card number.

As Ron has said, it can take days, weeks and months for Google to find your
site. Suggestion, take out Home Page and just have the name of the cottage
although not sure how many people will look for the name of the cottage. I
would think they are more likely to search for accomodations at such and
such a place.
