When I click search from Start menu, a window opens with the little cartoon
wizard at the bottom, but there is nowhere to enter a search or anything. I
can't select search criteria or options or anything. It's a useless window.
When I click the little idiot, he brings out a gold cup, then puts it away,
but that is all he will do.

do you have tweakui installed or some other non windows application installed?

Well, I have a Dell Dimension XPS, and when it shipped, it came with the
spyware "searchbar" or something, and I removed it. (It came up on my
adaware/spybot scan all the time, and I had had problems with it in the past)

Search in both IE and windows doesn't work, but brings up the same page...

Same problem with me ( and my cartoon cat) i have a custom/home mad computer
and i have no spy/ad ware on my comp (cuz i spybot'ed it) and the same
problem is with me. Anything help?

why did you respond to something over a month old??

No one is going to look at it!!!. Even the OP!!!
