I have been bugged by this pop-up sporadically coming up
when I go to search. It says something like: "Sorry, the
page you are looking for cannot be found..." and presents
options for all kinds of searches some pronographic.
Ran AdAware SE and could not get rid of it, ran "Find" and
got 9 hits which when I highlighted them to delete --
slammed me back to the desktop. Then I could not find
them, I got all sorts of "search" hits (300+), would not
display in Windows/Temp. Internet Files, etc.
I noticed in my Control Panel Add/Remove list that there
is an entry for "EliteBar Internet Explorer Toolbar" which
when I start to Remove shoots me a dialog box: "Do you
want to uninstall Internet Explorer Toolbar? Before the
uninstallation process is started all Internet Explorer
windows will be closed." Is that something to be
concerned about or is this the malicious culprit?
