Search functions in access form

I have set up an access form which has a list of companies locations and
descriptions. I want to set it up so I can search for various words in each
of these fields without using the filter as this is already being used.
There are over 20,000 lines in total so I need my search boxes to be quite
flexible, such as picking up letters in words not the whole word

Is there a way to do this?

Fiona,

You could use the wildcard AKA the asterisk "*" in the criteria. With using
the wild card it will look in the strings for anything that matches. For
example: Type in "bank" and it would bring back results like Banker's
Association, Citi Bank, New York Bloodbank.
