I currently use Windows 2000 Professional with Service
Pack 4 and all current updates installed. My search
function does not seem to be working properly. Everytime
I try to search for files, the function searches by
index. I do not want it to search by index. I want it to
search all of my networked drives individually. The
Indexing Service in Search Options is disabled. It does
work about every 25th time I try to search but that will
not do.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

A workaround is to use the free Agent Ransack instead to search for files...
