Search for files or folders doesn't open (W2K)

Windows 2000 Pro (Service Pack 4): When I click Start, Search, and then
For Files or Folders, the dialog box doesn't open. If I press Windows+F,
it also doesn't open. However, if I have a folder open and press F3, it
does open in the sidebar. Any ideas on how to fix this? I have TweakUI
installed, but there is no "Search Results" option in the "Desktop" tab.
Also, latest Norton reveals no virus, and SpyBot S&D says all is clean.

Quit all programs that are running.
Start> Run
regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

When you receive the "DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in shell32.dll
succeeded." message, click OK.

Reboot

Thanks for the reply, but unfortuneately it didn't help. :(
