search files with custom properties

How can I add custom properties to the advanced file search functionality for
Word?

Well, a quick test shows I can pick up the content of custom document properties by
searching "Text or property". This does pick up documents that contain the term in
their regular text, as well, however.

The only other possibility I can imagine would be to use VBA (or another programming
language) with the DSOFile tool. With that you can pull out document properties from
closed files.
