Search File Properties (Metadata)

Hello...
I have not been able to find information on how best to find files based on
a search of document properties.

I am primarily looking for MS Word documents using Windows XP on a
network...I want to search by author or title or other meta data.

Hi Raymond,

For some purposes I think you can do that sort of thing with Word's
File/Open dialog - File/Open/Tools/Search/Advanced - (I'm using Word 2003).

But you may want to check out the use of Microsoft's dsofile utility. For
