Search Field on a ASP page

I have a report written by th DW that list customers by county but the search
field is a text box. I want the search field to be a drop downlist with
"County Names" that sends a parameter to the database that the database
recognises

i.e. London appears in the drop down list but the value in the database is 15

Does that make sense?
