Search feature doesn't search...

The "search" feature (for files and folders) will not
search... it locks up and quits responding... how do I
fix this?

Open Explorer and go to the Windows\Inf folder.
Locate the "srchasst.inf file" in the /inf subfolder in your windows folder.
Right click it and select Install. (You need your XP CD)
