Search Engine

My default search engine is Google. When I click on "Search for" that
appears below the address bar the search is routed to www.google.com for the
search. My question is why does it pass through auto.search.msn.com prior to
going to Google. Are they keeping statistics? I wish I could just have it go
direct because at times the search is completely ignored, possibly when
auto.search.msn.com is too busy. At times I have to actually go to Google
because the "Search for" does nothing.

My guess is that it happens because Microsoft runs MSN. I have been
using IE7 beta (and have had no problems so far knock on wood) and use
Google as my default search provider in the nice new search bar up in
the corner.

LOL great sig
