search engine redirection virus

i contracted a virus i cant get rid of
it redirects my browser request to a differnt search
engine
if i search www.yahoo.com it redirects the page
to "www.royalsearch.com"
the same is true for google or the msn home page
and
when i restart my pc it now opens win media player and
the sys32 folder on it's own

Royalsearch indicates the trojan, VBS.Bootconf.

That article does not give complete manual removal instructions. Update your
anti-virus program and see if it can remove it.

You could also go to http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/. Read the instructions, then
download HijackThis and post a log to the forum at
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/index.php?showforum=11

and avoid common mistakes ;-)

It won't get rid of royalsearch, but it wouldn't hurt to download, install,
*update* and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ (Fix items in red)
