Search engine Problem

I've been helping a friend. We've update their computer. Ran various
spyware, antivirus, ad aware programs. Installed the Microsoft Antispyware
device and they have this annoying search window. Its labelled as I--Search.
I've tried to remove it with various programs. Nothing is obvious to me.
I sense that it somehow linking and re-installing itself everytime the
internet is active. We can get the default windows search engine through the
"customize" tab.

Wondering if I should of done all this stuff in safe mode after reading
another post regarding Morwill Pop up.

The computer has been update completely with Windows Update, Norton Internet
Security is full up to date as of yesterday. Microsoft Spyware had run 4
times. It has noted the changes and we've said to "block" . This doesn't
rememdy the problem.

I've installed Adaware and ran that. Also tried Spybot S&D to remove this
search type engine.

Suggestions for me to try now that I've done all that or some other program.
Or should I go about this all in Safe Mode? I am at lost. Lots of
programs out there that will charge you $30 to $60 to remove it I'm
suspicious of them.

All malware removal work should be done in Safe Mode. Follow these steps
systematically:

You should not use anything that charges for removal.

I did all the steps. In your website. Took a long time to run some of the
scans. Others run real quick in safe mode.

Rebooted felt we had this nipped. Was relieved till she called me yesterday
and said it was back.

So either I didn't do something exact or there is something else that this
I--search does, to re-install itself? Again Idea's. I'm gonna try it all
again on Tuesday but searching for advice again before I attack this.

The people are so frustrated they're willing to pay one of those copies like
Xoft to remove it.

I question that, like you said you shouldn't pay to remove something like
this.
