Search doesn't work on network drives

When searching for a file, say "Security best
practices.doc", if it is on a local drive, I can right
click start, choose search, and enter, for example, best,
in the "Search for files or folders named:" dialog, and
the file is found. If it is on a network drive, the file
is not found. Can anyone tell me how to correct this?
 
I'm having the same exact issue. Were you ever able to resolve it?
