Craig

Recently I installed NetZero Dialup ISP. This s'ware
changed my search engine from google to NetZero.

So what I'm needing is that when I type in a URL, and it
is unrecognized it goes to a google page, not a NetZero
search page.

I searched on PCmag.com for a sol'n, I did what they said
but it still gives the undesired NetZero page.

I am having the same problem!
not with net zero, but with something that has invaded my
computer. When I attempt a search thru the adress bar, if
it is not recognized, it goes to "http//:real-yellow-
page.com"
I have wasted two days tryogn to solve this, to no avail.
I am searching so if you find an answer, please post it or
reply to my address.
I will do the same.

I've noticed that alot of programs in the Downloaded Programs folder located
in C:\Windows are "slip-ins" that can drastically change many user settings.
Go into this folder and delete the programs that you do not need or
recognize. Also, try going into the publishers field when you open Internet
Options and remove any certificates that you do not recognize.

These are just a few solutions that I have come across and seemed to have
remedied my problems, which were similar to yours.
Good luck,

Edwin

I tried your ideas, but I know nothing of certificates.
Could you possibly offer any other help?
thanks

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
