Search Component

Hi

I’m using FP2002, publishing via the “Publish†command, not FTP, and I’m experiencing a problem

The “Search Component†is finding documents that are not a part of the web. To verify these old files do not exist, I opened the web, via “Publish†and looked. I did not find any of these old documents, that the “Search†is finding. At that time, I also deleted a few additional files that are no longer in use. This is common as pages for the site are tested and/or updated

I do get the error message “Page Not Found.†Why is the “Search†finding pages not there? What can I do to fix it so this does not happen

Thank you in advance

Patti

Hi Hari

Thank you for your reply. I read over the documents you posted. They refer to making changes, establishing catalog folders, and so on; all at the server end. I do not have any access to the server or control panel. Is this my only option, basically requesting the ISP to do this

I can access Administrative Pages. There is a link there under "Sever Health" where I am able to "Recalculate the Web." This is the only area I see offering any possibilities on my end .. if this would even do it, this I do not know

Thank you in advance

Pattie
