search companion has stopped working

when i click on the magnifying glass icon in any window in
explorer nothing happens.

there is no search item in the start menu now either.

I appear to have disabled this feature but cant find any
way of turning it back on

any ideas?

go to this site,look for the fix for serch (there's a
couple of them,keep looking till you get the right
one,click on it and run it thru.
