Search by category across all items

I'd like to assign the same category (for example "green") to multiple
kinds of items (message, task, note, etc). Then I'd like to search
for the "green" category across all of those items. It seems Outlook
will let me search for only green emails, or by green tasks, etc. How
can I search for anything green? Thanks

You can do this via Advanced Find; CTRL+SHIFT+F

Make sure you set "Look for:" to "Any type of Outlook item" and select the
correct folders to search in.
