SD Carder does not see a card when I install it

Hi

I have got a generic SD card reader that doubles as a USB2 hub. Ive got a
problem with the card reader - it sees the drive as a removable drive, but
when I install the card it does not see it at all.

If I click on the drive it tells me to insert the media, even though it is
already in. I have tried several cards and get the same problem.

Do I need special drivers for this? I don't recall needing any drivers.

If you have no documentation, you would likely be time and money ahead
just replacing it with something known to work.

Sorted - reinstalling windows seemd to crack it. I'm puzzled as to what
caused the problem in the first place though.
