SCSI drive error

D

Doug

Getting a "Windows-Delayed Write Failed" message on an
SCSI drive. The error message says:
"Windows was unable to save all the data for the file
\Device|HarddiskVolume3\$Mft. The data has been lost. This
error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware
or network connection. Please try to save this file
elsewhere."
The error pops up even when I am not trying to save
anything. Device manager says it is working properly.
I am running WIndows 2000 Professional.

$Mft is the Master File Table file for the 3rd partition. This is
basically the index for the drive. You can try running chkdsk /r to see
what it finds. Also update your SCSI drivers to the latest version.
Backup any data files on this drive.
