Hey Og/Steve, I had tried what Shenan suggested & it didn't fix the
problem
in my friend's case, System Restore did quickly without problems.
I'm just offering another suggestion & I also do not think your analogy is
accurate. If you still think it is enlighten me how it is so? -Thanks
Rotating one's display is a function of either:
(1.) a utility provided by the monitor manufacturer or
(2.) the driver provided by some video card manufacturers
Returning one's display to "normal" is a simple matter of undoing the
changes one has inadvertently made in either (1.) or (2.)
You think that System Restore isn't overkill? Consider:
This morning I spent a couple of hours installing and configuring MS Office
2007 Beta.
This afternoon my kitten leaped upon my keyboard.
Some of the keys she landed upon rotated my display 180-degrees.
It took me all of two seconds to hit the appropriate keys un-rotate my
display.
Had I used System Restore, all Registry entries made by the installation of
Office 2007 Beta would vanish.
I would have to spend another couple of hours re-installing and
re-configuring Office 2007 Beta.
System Restore, in the case of an accidentally rotated screen, is a
draconian solution to a wee problem.
