Scrolling Text List

I'm having a problem with a list of 750 names that I need to scroll on
a PowerPoint Slide. I have used the "Credit" animation scheme, but it
only allows about 50 names (approximately 5 seconds) before it stops
and loops over again. Is there a setting I'm missing to make this
complete the whole list?

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Ray,

The Credit Animation textbox is good for only about 1 screen height of
information. And if you have found that about 50 names fit on this screen,
then you will need to create 15 'screen heights' of names to get all 750
people on the credits. I'm assuming that you want the credits roll effect
to be continuous, so, here are the steps I would follow if this is the
effect I wanted to generate...

1) Create a blank layout slide and add a text box.
2) Enter the first 50 names (just cut and paste the text from your list)
3) Give yourself plenty of room, but adjust the list towards the center so
it looks nice
4) Apply the credit animation (Custom animations => Add Effect => Entrance
=> Credits => OK)
5) Set the timing of the credit animation to 'With Previous'.
6) Now, make copies of this slide so there are 15 total (enough room for
your 750 names) -- don't worry, it gets better.
7) Cut and paste the rest of the list of names into the textboxes on the 15
slides, 50 to a page
8) On the first slide, leave the animation timing delay set at 0 seconds
9) On each of the next 14 slides, add 7.5 seconds per slide to the animation
timing delay (i.e. 7.5, 15, 22.5, 30, etc.)
10) Here it starts to get good, cut and paste each of the textboxes onto the
first Credits slide (you may need to align them a bit). The slides will be
ugly in the edit view with all the overlapping text jumbled together, that's
ok.
11) Run the slides show.

All of the animations "start" together, but their movement only begins as
each of the shapes' delay expires. Each screen will scroll up onto the
screen and continue towards the top, when it gets halfway done, the next
will start and the effect is a continuous scroll for as many names as you
can handle.

Post back if this is not clear or I can help in other ways.
