Scrolling problem

when i scroll a message, the screen does a shutter effect and moves from top to bottom of article about 3 to 6 lines at a time. The mouse and pointing devise is set for one line at a time. any ideas? Thanks

It may help to disable smooth-scrolling in TweakUI > Explorer. TweakUI
is available from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp.
