Scrolling menus in My Computer toolbar.

Hi, I have recently switched to using a My Computer toolbar on my taskbar to
navigate my computer, which I think is a very quick and easy way to navigate,
but I have a problem with scrolling large folders. When I navigate to a large
folder that doesn't fit on screen, I can't use my mouse wheel for some
reason, I have to move my mouse down to the bottom of the list and hover over
the arrow to make it scroll down. Is there any way to change this? It's
pretty slow using the button at the bottom.

Thanks! I hope this is the right place to post this...

- Click an item in the r-h pane and the wheel should scroll.

- Click the area between the scroll "handle" and the Down or Up arrow to
scroll a page-at-a-time.

- Click and drag the handle for the best control of scrolling.

- Press the Page Up or Page Down keys on the kb for the same effect.

I hope one of these help; I couldn't find a folder that reacted the way
you describe, so tried to suggest what I normally do.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Just wondering, are you referring to the My Computer
window you get from Start>My Computer, or the cascading toolbar you get from
right clicking the taskbar, going to toolbars then My Computer (which is what
I'm wondering about)? There doesn't seem to be a handle at the bottom of the
list of folder contents in the thing I am describing, just a button you hover
over which scrolls down. The page up and down keys don't work on it either,
only the arrow keys and the mouse minus the scroll wheel.

OK, I see what you mean now; you add a "My Computer" toolbar, and browse
the C: drive, e.g. Sorry, I don't see a way to speed up that scroll.
Actually, it's perhaps a little quicker with the cursor keys than with
the hovering, but not enough to be considered a solution. Using the Up
cursor does cause you to jump to the bottom of that list, if that's any
help.

Thanks. I guess I will have to live with it. I would have thought it were
possible, but maybe it's a bit of a complicated hack to get it working, or
maybe it's just not possible at all. :(

Thanks again.
