Scrolling in Word

When I type text in word, it goes right to the bottom of the page before the
page automatically scrolls up a little. As a result, all the letters with
'tails' on them, like 'p', get cut off.

I would prefer to still have some white space on the bottom of the page
before the page automatically scrolls up.

How do I do this?

This is a frequent complaint (I suffer from it myself); if there's any
solution, I've never seen it.

Hmmm... that doesn't happen here. I tried in Normal and Print Layout, and
Word 2003 (2007, too) always scrolls well enough in advance that the letters
are never cut off. I can't replicate that.

I wonder if this might have something to do either with the display driver
or with the printer driver. I wonder what would happen if you changed the
resolution... to test to see if perhaps Word isn't getting the signal to
scroll what you're seeing soon enough. It might behave differently in a
higher or lower resolution.

But I wouldn't be happy with a different resolution, either.

My thought wasn't to permanently switch to a different resolution, merely to
see if it works properly in a different resolution. If it does, then it's
possible that an updated display driver might [eventually] make it work
properly in the desired resolution. I recall seeing a similar problem with
different computers in the past, but not always, and not on my current
computer. So, there might be hope.

I'm used to it; it's a minor annoyance. I have bigger fish to fry. But
thanks for the suggestion; I'll add it to the (long) list of "things to do
when I have time." <g>

Thanks to both of you for considering this.
