Scrolling Cell

Hi All,

I'm trying to create one cell in my worksheet that scrolls. The text
is too long to fit the height of the screen and widening the cell is
not an option.

I used a text box from the Control Toolbox toolbar. The formula bar
shows, =EMBED("Forms.TextBox.1","").

Properties include:
Wordwrap is true
Multiline is true
Scrollbars is 2 - fmScrolBarsVertical

To scroll, I have to right click the cell, select TextBox Object, then
Edit. I understand this, but fear my users may not figure this out. I
would like them to be able to use the scroll bar by just dragging it.
Does anyone know of a better solution to make the scroll bar work like
this?

Thank you,

Michele

It sounds like you're still in Design mode. On the Controls commandbar,
click the Design button (the one on the upper-left corner). Once you're out
of Design Mode, the TextBox will behave like you expect it to.

Hi,

I just realized that the contents of the cell aligns to the centre
vertically. You can't see the top of the contents until you click on
the cell and scroll up.

Does anyone know how to make the text align to the top?

Thanks,

Michele

P.S. - I don't think you can bold part of the text in text boxes, but
if anyone knows, that would be great, too.
