scrollbar colors

On my Dell Inspiron 9300, the scrollbar slider and scrollbar background
colors are so similer, that it is difficult for me to find the slider. I
cannot find where I can adjust these colors to make them different. Any
suggestions? Thanks.

Right click desktop,select properties click on the
appearance tab goto item Desktop scroll down and
select scrollbar.goto Scheme try out different schemes
until you find one that will work

I believe you have to change the colors of the Active Desktop,
background for windows, etc. to get the contrasting colors you need.
The scrollbar doesn't seem to have color adjustments.
 
Sorry about that prior instructions were for win2k,if you have XP this
applies:
Right click desktop,select properties click on the
appearance tab under windows and buttons
choose Windows classic style,and then
go to Color scheme and choose one that
works
