Scroll Bars

My scroll bars on Word 2000 and lengthy emails have disappeared. And when I
am trying to read these newsgroup messages there is no scroll bar on the
message itself (even though there is a scroll bar on the IE window). Any
suggestions? and now, as I type this email, I am noticing more issues. When
I try to backspace it won't do it. I have to use the mouse to highlight any
errors and re-type what I want to say. I run anti-spyware daily and it is a
version that is supposed to keep me anonymous. I am running win xp and zone
alarm security suite.

A quick Google did not indicate that malware is necessarily your problem.
In any case, System Restore can help if you know approximately what date the
problem started.
Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore
System restore will "undo" all changes to your registry for the period from
the restore date you select to the present. Files you have created are
unchanged, but settings revert to the date chosen and recently installed
software goes away and must be reinstalled.
System restore may get rid of your giant headache. Do it quickly and let us
know the result.

Well, actually, a reboot overnight took care of it. My husband is totally
blind and didn't even realize they were missing! Thank you for the tip. We
will keep it handy for future reference.
