scroll bar

When I use the horizontal scroll bar, the screen goes blank until I let go of
the bar. Remedies?

I would suspect a video driver issue, try updating it or down-tuning the
number of colours/resolution

Nick, thanks for the idea. I reduced the resolution, but that did not take
care of the situation. Also, this only happens on a couple of spreadsheets,
not all. So, it seems that there is an Excel setting that could be changed.
Also, when I click the bar, it jumps away from the cursor. When I move the
cursor away from where it was, the bar returns to its original location. Odd.
