Hi,
E-bay pages contain a lot of javascript. Work through these steps:
Clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often
recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)
Check any third-party security programs to see if one of them is blocking
javascript, scripts, scripting, active content, pop-ups, etc.
Go to Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone, set it to Default.
Try these two commands from Start> Run> cmd [enter]
regsvr32 vbscript.dll [enter]
regsvr32 jscript.dll [enter]
Reinstall the JavaScript engine. Go to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
for the appropriate download.
This doesn't sound like a malware problem, but do you run (at least)
Ad-aware occasionally?

Once the sp2 update was loaded I am now getting a scripting error on Ebay
and two other sites. Ebay is the worst with a scripting error on 20-30 lines
on each page. Looked at deleting IE but it doesn't show up in the Add/remove
box. Also when trying to reload , states newer version is already installed
and will not allow it. Any ideas??Thanks in advance
