script to change a lot of shortcuts

Is there any easy way or a script to change a large amount of file shortcuts
that refer to a particular drive letter so that the shortcuts use the same
pathname, however a different drive letter?

I would try a binary command line editor. It may or it may
not work. Check Google for free downloads.
