Script Errors

I cannot start my Norton Internet Security 2002. I've
uninstalled and re-installed it twice, gotten all the IE
updates, all the Windows updates, deleted files from
earlier installations, everything a Sunday afternoon can
allow. This is Windows (*^%*#!$) ME!

Help anyone?

IE tools>internet options>advanced

Check Disable script debugging
Uncheck Display a notification about every script error

Does this help?

Something is blocking scripting then maybe?

Can you get to Norton's options and see if the settings there are blocking
pop-ups and stuff?

One of the things I detest about Norton is that their uninstalls didn't work
if anything went wrong so you were left with a registry full of
half-settings and garbage which then prevented you from reinstalling because
it wasn't uninstalled... doh!

What is the welcome page like? Can you remember if it has settings or links
on it? Maybe you could find a way round it. Do any websites give scripting
errors?
