script errors

Post the URI. Many script errors are not errors in the script but in the
USE of the script. To determine that, I need to see the page fail, and
investigate how you are using things.

Hi Cindy,

You have to view the pages in IE with Tools | Internet Options | Advance Tab | Display a notification about every script error
checked.

Mike, would you want to turn off Friendly Errors as well?

When online for my site Script Error message reads:
Line- 198
Char- 1
Error- syntax error
Code- 0
Url- http://www."mywebsite".com
Then in my Front Page program in preview pane the error says
Line 202
Char 1
Error Syntac error
Code-0
URL- fill://C:.............then Front page temp dir\prwl.htm
Did you need my website address to be able to help me?

The code on that page would do just great....

But the URI would be even better.

Murray, I'm gonna email you a new "L" key :-)

Ok, should I just take all the java scripts out and replace them again? And
when I replace them, do I need to put <noscript> before and after the
placement?

Ok deleted it. Can you check again and see if it is ok now? Thanks, Murray!

I didn't know they depreciated the L ... IOI !!! heheeeeeeeee.

Thanks, Murray. I had webrings on there, that didnt show up before, and
wasn't sure why not. Now they are there in full force! :+)

They generate a lot of traffic for us in our business field. How can I get
around that?

By not filling your pages with outgoing links. Incoming links (especially
from high-traffic pages) are good. Incoming links from low traffic pages
are ineffective. Outgoing links to low-traffic pages have a negative
effect.

But that's only for Search engine ranking. If you feel you are getting
enough traffic from the webring itself, then your cost/benefit analysis
would be simple....
