Script Error

I get 2 script errors each time I connect to the
internet: Line 219, pos 5 or Line 54, Pos 5, both click
OK and then the other one appears. Sometimes when I try
to print off the internet an Internet Explorer Script
Error says "An error has occurred in the script on this
page. Error: Call was rejected by callee. Code O
URL res://c.\windows\Syst32\shdoc\c.dll/preview.dlg
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page
Yes/No
I have earthlink total access installed and have asked
earthlink to solve the problem but they have given up and
say it would be best to contact Microsoft directly for
further assistance. They also suggest updating Internet
Explorer but I don't know how to do that...when I try
updates, they run all night and abort half way through.

Those sort of the sometine can be with the actual website
rather than the local computer. If they are on the
website, as a user we have no control over it. To verify
this, try doing the same thing on different web site
addresses. If the problem occures on all the websites, the
problem lies on your computer. If it happens only on
certain website, the problem lies on the actual website.

Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking:
Menu: Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab.
Check "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"

This may also be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
