script error

openning internet explorer in Earthlink have XP inter exp
6.0 with service pack 1 loaded get message script error
line 32 char 2 error:invalid argument code 0 url
http://start.earthlink.net Earthlink help said to load
service internet explorer service pack 1 which I did but
message continues. I don't know much about these
things. Any help gratefully accepted. Jim

Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking:
Menu: Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab.
Check "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"

If still no joy then get the latest.
