Screensaver will not work

Hi friends. I have had a Dell system, P3 with standard
high end video card. Since buying, the screensaver has
never worked. It will preview, but not come on regardless
of time interval. I contacted Dell and troubleshot to
make sure it was not a hardware issue, and we exausted
every possible problem there with no result.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I appreciate any advice.

did they have you check your bios power managemant settings? how about those in windows found in display settings? how about reloading windows from your restoration cd? or possible updates? good luck.
