I solved my problem and I hope what I found will be able to help anyone who
is having problems after installing the Wireless Laser Mouse 6000.00
You need to run msconfig.
Once there, you will have to click on the general tab
Click on selective Startup and de-click Load Startup Items
Click on the Startup tab
The conflict is a DVD launch program. For me, I had to de-check PDVDServ.
This is my Cyberlink Power DVD.
So look for an item that contains DVD in it. Microsoft did point out
another problem with their optical mouse. PCM and DVDlauch conflicts with
this mouse, so I figured that a DVD program must be conflicting with the 6000.
Hopefully, this will save someone a few hours of trying to figure out what
the heck is going on, because Microsoft doesn't know yet.
Good luck!
