Screensaver password protection

We have a workstation that I want to have password
protection when the screensaver comes on. I have put the
checkmark in the Display settings to indicate the
screensaver is password protected, but after I wait 1
minute for the screensaver to come on, I can move the
mouse or touch a key and the normal screen comes right
back up without asking for a password. Am I missing a step?

There is a small timer so that if you immediately move your mouse or touch a key after the screen saver comes up, it will not ask for a password. It appears to be less than 15 seconds. I tested this on 2 machines, and as soon as the screen save came up, I moved the mouse, it went right back to desktop with no password prompt. I waited about 15 seconds before touching anything, and the computer was 'locked', and I had to sign in
