Screensaver not working with BT Broadband/Netgear Router

Just set up wireless broadband and screen saver does not appear to be working.
Anyone else had this and know how to solve it?
 
The router shouldn't be causing any problems. If you unplug the ethernet
port, does it work? Also, have you tried changing the screensaver
properties, or testing them from the properties box?
 
Thanks for replying. I have unplugged the ethernet cable and switched off the
router - still no screensaver. It was probably co-incidence! I am using
Ribbons as the screensaver and I cannot see a properties box or properties
optio
