My screensaver doesn't work in Windows XP. The preview comes up okay but it
never kicks in. Also, the system won't go into standby. I don't know if that
is related to the problem.

Does anyone have an idea as to the problem?

Thanks,
Larry

Are you using Media Center Edition of XP or do you have a wireless mouse?

OK that is the problem. There seems to be a conflict with certain
programs and the 6000. Check in your MSCONFIG>Startup tab and see if you
have an entry for your CD or DVD software. If you do remove the check
along side it and reboot computer. See if that worked.

Thank you very much DrJoel. I unchecked the DVD launcher and now the
screensaver works fine.

Thanks again!!

OK, My screen save doesn't work and I AM using Windows XP media plus a
wireless mouse keyboard. I check the start run msconfig startup folder
and I don't see anything regarding CD or DVD software. Any suggestions
for my problem?

I'm having similar problems with my screensaver too. I am running XP Home. I
have a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse. The screensaver works from the
preview button or if I put a shortcut on my desktop. But it will not start on
its own. At the "log-on" screen a default windows screensaver operates but
not the one that is set to come on. Any help would be most welcome.
